Cleaning & Maintenance

Quick clean: Wipe down with a damp cloth after walks.
Deep clean: Use mild soap and warm water for stubborn dirt, then rinse well.
Drying: Pat dry with a towel or allow to air dry. Avoid direct heat.

Water & Weather

Water‑resistant: Our waterproof material handles rain, puddles, and splashes with ease.
Mud‑friendly: Simply wipe clean after messy adventures.
No soaking: Avoid prolonged submersion to protect the hardware.

Wear & Tear

Scratch‑resistant: Designed for daily use. Some hardware may scratch with daily use which is to be expected.
Hardware care: Dry metal buckles or clips after getting wet to prevent tarnish. 
Check regularly: Inspect around rivets and stitching for any signs of wear.

Our current black hardware may cause minor surface marks with use — part of the natural wear of coated hardware.

• Avoid harsh cleaners, alcohol wipes, or abrasive sponges — they can lift the vinyl.
• Don’t pick at the lettering; if an edge lifts, press it down gently with warm fingers.
• Keep away from direct heat sources (radiators, hot cars, hairdryers).
• Natural wear may occur over time, especially if your dog scratches or rolls a lot.

Storage Tips

Store flat or hanging to avoid creases. Biothane does soften with heat and wear.
Keep away from sharp objects that could mark the surface.
Avoid prolonged sun exposure to preserve colour vibrancy.
