There's something really lovely about that moment when things finally start to feel right. Not because everything is perfect, but because you look at something you've been working on and think, yes, this feels like me.
That's exactly where I am with Dolly & Co right now.
Finally finding my style
If you've visited our website recently, you might have noticed a few changes. Okay, maybe more than a few! 😂
I've spent hours playing with colours, changing layouts, designing templates, moving things around and probably driving myself a little mad in the process.
But I've finally found it: the soft colours, pencil illustrations, modern stripes, little stories and everyday moments that make up The Dolly Way.
It's not just about making a website look pretty. It's about creating somewhere welcoming and personal. Somewhere that feels like Dolly & Co.
The little things are starting to add up
Recently, the website seems to be getting a little busier. I've had some lovely orders, and it's such a nice feeling watching all that hard work slowly begin to make a difference.
I'm still making things, packing orders, dreaming up ideas and occasionally wondering what on earth I'm doing. 😂 But even small steps feel exciting.
Building a business around my health
One thing I never want to lose sight of is why I'm doing this.
Living with chronic health conditions means I can't always predict what tomorrow will look like. Some days I can spend hours designing and creating. Other days, my body decides we're doing absolutely none of that.
I'm learning that success doesn't have to mean constantly doing more. For me, it's building something I love around my health, instead of pushing through pain just to keep up.
It's okay to grow slowly
There's so much pressure to make everything look as if it's happening overnight. Big launches, perfect businesses and constant achievements.
But behind Dolly & Co, there's just me, my ideas, my family, my health and a very special black Labrador who started it all. Some weeks will be busy, others quieter. I'm not racing anyone.

I think this is just the beginning
I've got so many ideas. Some are already taking shape, some are scribbled down waiting for the right moment, and some will arrive out of nowhere on a creative day.
The difference now is that I finally know the direction I want to go. The brand, the website, the templates, the stories and the whole feeling behind it all make sense.
You don't have to do everything at once. You don't have to keep up with everyone else. And you don't have to stop believing in yourself because your journey looks different.
Sometimes the smallest steps lead to the loveliest places.
